Ireland's Kenny Takes Double Header Winning the Brown Harris Stevens and Newsday Open Jumper Classes at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Darragh Kenny 22, of County Offaly, Ireland, had the "luck of the Irish" on his side winning both jumper classes in the Grand Prix ring at the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Tuesday. Kenny won the Brown Harris Stevens Open Jumper (1.40m) FEI Table A class riding Looping Star and the Newsday Open Jumper class (1.35m) earlier in the day on Bazooka de Muze. Both horses are owned by Missy Clark and North Run Farm and both are stunning chestnuts with bold blaze faces. More info...

Equestrians and spectators could not have asked for a better afternoon for the $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby (Chicago Hunter Derby) Presented By Canadian National (CN). The Chicago Hunter Derby vintage hunt course was set upon the beautifully landscaped steeplechase course in-field of Annali Farm in Antioch, IL. Leading the field of equestrians was Jennifer Alfano aboard Jersey Boy, owned by SBS Farms, Inc. who earned the top scores securing the championship accolades. Earning the reserve championship was Listen, owned by Jane Gaston, with Kelley Farmer in the irons. More info...

Massachusetts Hunter Jumper Finals Conclude 2010 Fieldstone Summer Showcase

The first tri-color ribbon of the day was won by Rachel DeMuth in the MHJ Short Stirrup Medal Final aboard her pony, Skippy Two Socks. DeMuth, who rides with Kellie Monahan of Walnut Hill Farm, prepared for the Finals by, "practicing a lot of courses and doing a lot of work without stirrups." The pair emerged as champions out of a starting field of 43 horse-and-rider combinations.
